Beginner's Digital SLR Camera - Canon Rebel T2i

There is a really good reason that the Canon Rebel T2i is on the Top 10 Digital SLR Camera list. It is simply a really well designed camera, and users have expressed their satisfaction with it. This is how cameras get on this list.

The Top 10 Digital SLR Camera list is a group of the best liked cameras on the market. It is compiled by taking the user reviews and calculating which cameras have the highest average Star Rating.

So, the Canon Rebel T2i is on that list.

Some of the reasons that this particular model is on the list are interesting.

First reason - ease of use. Being a beginner's digital SLR, it must by default be easy to use, or people would not rate it highly. The fact is that many of the buyers are new to this type of camera, because they are moving up from point and shoot models.

The menu is very user friendly, and the buttons are easy to access, and they make sense. There are all kinds of readouts on the rear LCD screen and on the top screen to let you know what the camera settings are.

Second reason - excellent price. Even though this is not the cheapest entry level DSLR, it is priced affordably. This is important because new users are not always willing to spend the extra money to get a 60D or a 7D before they know whether they will be able to handle a complex camera like this. The Canon Rebel T2i is competitively priced with the Nikon D3100, which has a similar feature set.

Third reason - great video. HD video is now the standard for most cameras, and Canon has improved this feature over the former T1i model. In fact, it has the exact same video capabilities as the 7D which is twice the price. That makes buyers feel that they are getting really good value for their money.

Fourth reason - performance. Anyone who has used an older Rebel is really impressed with the way the engineers have added to the quality of the user experience and the resulting images when viewed or printed.

And those who are buying their very first Digital SLR are totally blown away by the way the T2i handles and performs compared to their point and shoot cameras.

As mentioned, the Top 10 Digital SLR Camera list includes this entry level model along with a few other cameras in that category, but it also includes much more expensive cameras.

By the way, the Canon Rebel T2i is not number one, but you will have to view the list using the link below to see where it ranks among the top 10. Full article at - www.slrlounge.com About a month ago, we took on the challenge of shooting an entire fashion shoot with just an iPhone and a couple $30 reflectors as a follow up video to the FStoppers iPhone Fashion Shoot. The SLR Lounge iPhone Photo Shoot has gotten a lot of attention and we thought it was time for a follow up video. So, in this follow up video, we will be showing you guys the exact reflector lighting techniques that we used to pull off every shot that we took in the SLR Lounge iPhone Photo Shoot. Pocketwizard on SB-800/900 Setup

This video shows you into depth about how to set up your Pocketwizard connection with one or more Nikon SB-800 / SB-900's using any Nikon D-SLR system. Be sure to watch the ending, something cool. :) Another cool tip - you now can use Nikon brand SB-800 / SB-900 as a remote flash when using a Canon brand camera system. Cool, huh? If you are not so sure how to set up. Here's the setup for you in simple words, • PW #1 on camera (Channel 1 and BOTH mode) • PW #2 on one of the SB-800 / SB-900's (Channel 1 and BOTH mode on PW, no remote setting required such as SU-4 or Remote) • All other SB-800 / SB-900's set for SU-4 (set for M/anual then adjust the flash power input and zoom distance) You only need TWO Pocketwizards in this setup but if necessary, plug more Pocketwizard units to other SB-800 / SB-900's for better communication when there are a lot of inferencing objects. Each Pocketwizard unit comes with the cable to plug from PW to SB-800 / SB-900. Have fun! Enjoy! Music: Heavy Sun Heavy Moon by The Peppertones (Thank you, James, for picking it out)

Buying Digital Cameras

There is a large variety to pick from when selecting and purchasing a digital camera. There are distinctions between digital camera features and it may be an arduous task for you to conclude what is most excellent for you, however, you may enjoy shopping for one.

With a digital camera it may be simple to acquire and make use of pictures (No developing, darkroom etc.) Some are relatively inexpensive $100 to $400. The more sophisticated cameras are usually pricier than the aim and shoot types. They come loaded with features, and are typically larger in size with better lenses permitting wider angles and more light sensitivity. They are priced in the $600 to $2,000 range.

Another property to keep in mind when purchasing a digital camera is the total of megapixels (MP) capacity. A megapixel is generally the first resolution unit you see in descriptions of digital cameras. A megapixel is equal to one million pixels or picture elements. The megapixel number is proportional to the resolution or sharpness of the picture. High resolution digital cameras of 24 megapixels and greater are available.

Optical zoom influences the adjustment of the optics (lens) of the camera to bring the subject nearer. Digital zoom is an electronic concept of digital video cameras. Digital cameras comprise both optical and digital zoom. A number designation commonly refers to the optical zoom and digital zoom. The Digital zoom gives the appearance of bringing the image nearer but the quality of the picture is diminished.

In researching the descriptions of digital cameras, you will see the term digital SLR which means digital single lens reflex. These cameras use a mirror to direct light toward the viewfinder when you're composing a photo. The SLR device allows one camera to accommodate a very wide choice of lens focal lengths, and that's the major reason that SLRs dominate critical photography. With a customary lens camera, you have to harmonize the angle of view of the "taking" lens with that of the "viewing" lens. Most digital SLR models beyond entry-level models incorporate a Live Panorama mode, which allows the photographer to use the LCD to create shots the same way they can with a snapshot camera.

As the name implies, the ability to remove one lens and replace it with another--to go from, say, ultra-wide-angle to super telephoto--is what sets these cameras separately. Most cameras of the type have extremely long zoom lenses and cameras are sometimes referred to as SLRs or megazooms.

Becoming a good digital photographer includes understanding many of the same elements needed to being a good film photographer, and an SLR camera lens is a key factor. The size of the memory cards and how much memory you will need to store images is something you will want to respect.
Batteries and battery life is important. Some cameras run down batteries after little use. Others have built in rechargeable batteries. Some digital cameras use universal off the shelf batteries which can be purchased almost anyplace.

The next step in deciding which is the best digital camera to buy is assessing what, if any, additional features you would like. This may be an easy question to answer. The simple answer is the camera that allows you to take the best picture doable, while staying within your finances. And secondly, what is your flair or fashion.

Try out the cameras, hands-on, if possible in the stores. Try out the controls and consult with the technical staff. Download or examine manuals and brochures. Read the instructions and Move through the cameras menu pages. Finally take some pictures. Some merchants will allow you to test drive the cameras. When possible, Evaluate images between the cameras when testing more than one.

Digital SLR Camera Functions

When you are using a digital SLR camera, there are a lot more features that can be controlled by the photographer. This article is going to talk about several features that are available with an SLR digital camera.

The main feature that you can use is the ability to switch out lenses. Digital SLR cameras can use a variety of lenses, everything from a basic lens to a telephoto lens, wide angle lens, and other specialty lenses. You may want to own a few different lenses so that you have options available as you are taking photos. Or, if you are beginner photographer, it is probably a good idea to use a general lens in the beginning, and then once you have learned how to use that lens you can upgrade to a bigger, better lens.

A detached flash is a feature that many professional photographers like to use. There are many options to use a flash, and depending on the setting you might want to use the flash attached to the camera, or maybe at a different angle. Lighting is key to any good photo, so understanding how the flash works is very important to taking high quality photos.

There are different settings that can be used on the digital SLR camera to control how the picture is being recorded down. For example, you can choose the file size of the photo which will determine the quality of the pictures (small, medium, large, etc). Another feature is the fact that you can control the shutter speed of the camera in order to make adjustments for the environment and lighting that you are shooting in.

Overall, a digital SLR camera is a great investment. When you start using your new SLR camera, make sure to spend a little time getting to know the features of your individual camera. Don't get frustrated, it may take a little bit if time to get used to using it, but you will love the camera when you master all of the settings!

Ten New Sony PSP 3000 Bundles

Abstract for readers: PSP bundles include games packaged in for free, as opposed to just buying a PSP 3000 console on its own. Two types of PSP bundle exist – PSP console bundles and PSP games bundles, this article is of the first type PSP deals.

PSP 3000 Bundles

Just in time for Christmas, ten new Sony PSP 3000 bundles have gone on sale. Growing in popularity throughout school playgrounds, what kid doesn’t want a PSP bundle this year? Popular games consoles need to offer great games for girls too. With that, Sony PSP games makers (could it be Santa Claus?) have been busy making cute girly games to rival Nintendo’s Littelest Pet Shop and Nintendogs.

A guide to the 10 best PSP games (in console bundles)

1- Invizimals PSP Go!Cam Camera + Trap: Pokemon meets Ghostbusters. Hunt down mysterious creatures using the PSP camera and trap them. Challenge friends to duels, and join the Invizimal club for extended combat.

2- Dissidia Final Fantasy: One of the best RPG games. Dissidia’s graphics are suburb on PSP as one would expect from a Final Fantasy Game.

3 – Gran Turismo: The ultimate Playstation driving simulator.

4 – Hannah Montana “Rock Out The Show”: A Lilac PSP 3000! Star in your own Show. Go on tour, and design the stages in Hannah Montana (best one for girls)

5 – Petz PSP 300 console bundle: Petz comes with 2 PSP games, Baby Hamster and My Puppy Family.

6 – Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince PSP: This one even has a magic colour: vibrant blue console and game bundled in as the title implies.

7 – Aqua Console and Little Big Planet: The classic Playstation 3 game hits Playstation Portables this year and in Aqua. Sackboy or Sackgirl if you prefer, can be likened to one big adventure full of customisations.

8 – Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines: PSP’s stealth title for older guys and girls.

9 – Need for Speed Undercover: Another playstation portable racing game.

10 – Monster Hunter: Taking Japan by storm, multi-player Monster Hunter has sparked an entirely new game genre.

Radiant Red

Pearl White

Majestic Silver

The new PSP 3000 bundles are shaping up better than ever. PSP 3000′s now feature a bigger screen, a built-in microphone, and MILO communicator for online chat such as Go! Messenger and Skype. Some important advice: Don’t expect to buy Mario games on PSP consoles. Mario games are on Nintendo’s. Secondly, PSP 3000 has a UMD game port so it’s not to be confused with Sony PSPgo which doesn’t have a UMD game port. Essentially no game port means no PSP game will play on it. PSPgo uses download only games from PSN (non-transferable).
